Emergency Power Generator Tests, May 11 - 22, 2009

Virginia Commonwealth University maintains emergency preparedness plans to respond to emergency events that may cause distress to people, buildings, and systems at the University with little or no notice. As with any plan, emergency plans need to be tested to ensure the viability of the planned actions in response to emergency events. VCU Facilities Management has scheduled a series of tests for the emergency power generators that have been strategically placed around campus to support vital campus functions in the event of a power loss. These tests have been scheduled during the period of May 11th through May 22nd. Depending on the building, the effect to occupants will range from minimal to a near complete power outage.
