Podcasting

In order to podcast you will need to activate your VCU blog. You can do this by simply logging in with your eID.

The VCU Blog will automatically recognize audio and video files linked from your blog and use the appropriate podcasting tags. Uploading audio and video is similar to uploading images. You can follow these simple steps:

Once you click the Upload File button, then click the browse button the locate the desired audio or video file on your local computer.

If you would like to put all of your audio and video files in a single folder, you can specify a folder name. (This is optional)

Click 'Upload'.

Then select 'Create new entry using this uploaded file.' Then click the Link button.

This will automatically place the html to reference the uploaded audio or video file in the Entry Body. Most often the link to the media is located at the end of the blog post. You can enter some text above the link to describe your audio or video clip.

You can put your RSS feed into iTunes or any other podcasting software in order to automatically download your media clips. Your RSS feed is located at: http://blog.vcu.edu/my_account/index.xml.
